Birthing Suites Almost as Beautiful as the Babies Born in Them

New LDRP rooms are open

Southeast Hospital birthing center rooms are designed with family comfort and privacy in mind. The Dennis B. Elrod Obstetrics and Gynecology Center includes:

  • 21 LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum) birthing suites (each with private restroom and shower facilities)
  • a registration/reception area
  • nursery with viewing areas and Level III NICU
  • two OR suites located on the OB area

Our homelike accommodations make each birth all the more memorable and personal for the entire family. Learn about the other special ways we welcome babies.

We recognize the importance of continued education for the parents regarding proper care of themselves as well as their baby. Each family will be taught individually, and in the privacy of their own own room, important knowledge and skills needed in those early days of parenting.

Each LDRP suite features:

  • Central fetal monitoring
  • TV with VCR/DVD player
  • Individual climate control
  • Complimentary toiletries
  • Sleep sofa/chair
  • Private bath with shower or Jacuzzi
  • Hair dryer
  • Free WIFI
  • Special gift for mothers
  • 3 guest meals a day

Anesthesia is available 24/7.

The department of OB has set a 2 (two) people limit to be present during the childbirth, unless it is a rare circumstance.
